Replacement Tip Cutters
A replaceable tip router cutter, also known as Rota-Tip, consists of a solid tungsten carbide blade that is held by retaining screws to a ground steel body. They are designed so that when the blades become dull, they can be rotated to reveal a new sharp cutting edge or replaced with a spare blade. Replaceable tip router bits come in a variety of different profiles, including radius, straight, chamfer, and V-groove. These cutters are usually used for high production applications, usually in a CNC router, or when working with particularly abrasive materials where the blade is likely to blunt quickly.
