For biscuit jointing of man-made fibre boards, particle boards and timber with a router.
This set includes 3 sizes of bearing that set the precise depth of cut for the 3 sizes available.
You will need a slightly longer cut than the length of the biscuit to allow for some lateral play for simple alignment during assembly.
Typically, a water based glue (PVA) is used on the biscuits which will expand as any moisture is absorbed.
The boards are simply clamped together until glue is dried. Biscuits can be doubled up by making two passes for larger boards.
