LOCK/JIG
Lock jig with interchangeable templates allowing mortise and face-plate recess to be cut with a router for popular door locks.
Suitable for most common sash mortises and dead locks, with up to 3? deep mortises and a 7/8? or 1? face plate.
Deeper mortises can be cut with a suitable size of auger router bit.
Clean, accurate, and fast results on doors between 34mm and 58mm thick, even in hardwood.
Steel plates and body.
An auger bit and drill will be needed to complete deep mortises.
This jig requires a 1/2- inch plunge router with an 80mm plunge, fitted with a 30mm guide bush with 6mm spigot and a 12mm diameter long reach router cutter. A 1/4-inch plunge router can be used for the face plate but will not accomplish full depth of mortise.
